Golang Job Details

You will be responsible for:

  • A global, multi cloud infrastructure with over 60 Kubernetes clusters
  • Growing the network to 600+ Kubernetes clusters
  • Developing and implementing strategies to improve systems availability
  • Establishing “golden path” guidelines for other teams that design services
  • Leading chaos engineering to ensure all services meet reliability expectations
  • Creating a data driven strategy to measure system stability
  • Developing our metrics and alerting capabilities
  • Identifying and troubleshooting issues that arise with production systems
  • Managing and mentoring other engineers
  • Continuously evaluating and improving processes and procedures
  • Collaborate between developers, data engineers and operations teams

On any given day you might:

  • Analyse complex problems and come up with efficient and effective solutions
  • Look for new ways to improve key systems, tools and processes
  • Being hands on with day-to-day development work
  • Work closely with the architecture, development, delivery & product teams
  • Reviewing and addressing alerts and notifications from monitoring systems
  • Planning for ongoing maintenance and improvements to systems
  • Provide technical leadership for L3 teams
  • Build tools and automation that eliminate repetitive tasks
  • Perform retrospectives to ensure prevention of incident occurrences

You will bring:

  • An eagerness to learn, grow your career and take on greater responsibility
  • 8+ years of experience in systems engineering / SRE / DevOps
  • Strong familiarity with Linux-based operating systems
  • Experience with Golang, Python, Bash or similar
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience building distributed monitoring systems at scale
  • Strong understanding of cloud, Azure, GCP, IBM Cloud
  • Ability to write shell python scripts fluently
  • Experience with Terraform or other configuration management tools
  • Experience with CI/CD pipeline tools and best practices
